Yay, they confirmed it today, I got the job! I think I have to go get a beer after work today, though I do have a morning shift tomorrow... Just simply cannot wait 'till the weekend. Anyone interested in joining me at 9 p.m.?

After problems with mailing and thus having to wait one more day my letter from Haaga-Helia arrived today. At the end of August I'll start my three years of waking up way too early to travel to Porvoo. I am very very happy right now. Finncon is next weekend, perfect chance to do some celebrating.

An update:

I applied for a permanent position at my current job, but of course at the time didn't know how many hours a week I'd be able to do. Now I told them that I'm going to school and could work weekends. The boss answered that they're announcing who got the positions tomorrow, but quite clearly hinted I'd be one of them. More happy and more joy :)

I answer the phone at work. The guy calling tells me his surfing on our website. He wants to ask a few questions about an offer he found there. "It says you can only book this online. Does that mean I have to book this online?" "It says it's valid till June 27th. Does it mean it's only valid till June 27th?"

Once again I'm glad I didn't have to actually meet him. Or if I had, people should've made sure there were no heavy and hard objects within reach.

God, work is extra boring today. It's really slow and all my calls are people asking stupid questions.

I had the exam yesterday. Some parts were kind of weird, I don't really understand what they were looking for. But the interview that I was so stressed about went pretty well. Over all I think it went quite well and I'll be pretty disappointed if I don't get in. They also had an info for us about studying there and now I'm even more excited about the school than before. It seems to be just what I expected.

And summer is here, finally it is warm enough for me in Finland. Now everyone keep your fingers crossed that the weather stays this way. If only I didn't have to work so much. I'd love to be at my parents summer house lounging by the pool. I can't wait till midsummer, I've actually got four days off of work. Four days! That doesn't happen too often :)

Oh, and yesterday we got to hear the finished version of Pieni iso koodinmurtaja. Sounded swell. Yay for us.

My day at work has been quite scifi so far. It's been really slow, so I've been reading a report on turism in 2020. (It's actually for my entrance exams! Getting into school seems so much easier this time.) And just now someone wanted to book a cruise on Galactica.

I'm so glad the customers can't see me, 'cause I had quite a hard time keeping a straight face. I can only imagine how hard a colleague of mine had it when an old lady wanted to book a commando cabin and when those weren't available she settled for a suicide one.

Okay, got the stupid drunken post done and only in two entries. Seems like I'm getting the hang of this. Maybe I could actually start updating this thing.

Åcon is over. Way too much fun. I actually managed to stay awake at work yesterday and got to bed around midnight! Joonas actually looked surprised and asked if I really was going to sleep at night. But the chain smoking and singing Rocky Horror tunes finally caught up with me and I woke up to find my voice is completely gone. Which is not a good thing when your job mainly consists of answering the phone. So now I'm on sick leave. Getting geared up for mafia on Thursday...

The con was great, I'm definitely looking forward to a part two. Maybe with a Guest of Honour who lets me sleep every now and then. I completely blame Hal Duncan for everything. I mean he forced the beer down my throat and kept singing if I started to nod off. I had no say in any of it. Honest.
Actually I think he doesn't really exists because that would be just too cool.

Oo, Arto and Joonas stopped playing PES so I get to continue Zelda. I mean come on, four days without Wii is too much.
